We enjoyed our stay, a beautiful and clean place to relax. We appreciated the well-equipped kitchen, with plenty of dishes and utensils even for a larger group. The pool and the hot tub were fantastic ⭐. We were very satisfied.

Clean and pleasant environment. There were 10 adults and 11 children, and we were all satisfied 😘 Although the terrain of these cottages is sloped, it is technically well arranged. The kitchen is fully equipped with all kinds of glasses 😁 Very friendly owners. Highly recommended!

The Šaling Cottage and Wooden House are located on the edge of the village Čierny Balog - Dobroč, near the forest and a stream. The 2 cottages accommodate 20 people (including 2 extra beds) in 5 bedrooms (2 bathrooms, 3 toilets). The accommodation is exclusively for you. Staying with small dogs is allowed free of charge. Outdoor amenities include a pool, sauna, bathing tub, and whirlpool. Outside, there is a gazebo, kettle, terrace, garden swing, grill, fireplace, and outdoor seating. Chalupa a Drevenica Šaling offers its guests accommodation throughout the year in two separate buildings with a total capacity of 20 people. There is a wooden house for 8 people, in which there are eight fixed beds, while a cot can be added on request. There is also a fully equipped kitchen with a solid fuel stove and a dining area and a bathroom with a toilet and shower. The advantage of the wooden house is the Finnish sauna, where you can relax perfectly.
Chalet Šaling has three bedrooms for 8 people and a loft with four beds. In the cottage you will also find a cot, a balcony or a TV. In the living room, you will spend time together by the fireplace, while you prepare your own meals in the fully equipped kitchen. The cottage also has one bathroom with a toilet and shower and another separate toilet.
Outside, there is a gazebo with seating and a raised fireplace, a kettle and a garden swing ready for guests. Children can have fun on the swings, trampoline, play mini-football or badminton. Parking is provided right next to the building. You can also bring your pet with you for your stay.
The chalet and Drevenica Šaling are located in the village of Čierny Balog, in the district of Brezno. In the village, you can take a trip to the Vydrovo Forest Open-Air Museum, and a ride on the Černohorská železnice will also provide an experience. Nearby, you can visit the Bystrian Cave, the Metallurgical Museum in Podbrezova or go hiking in the Low Tatras. In winter, the ski resorts Mýto SKI & BIKE park, Ski Čierny Balog and many others are very popular.

We rented a cottage and a cabin because there were 18 of us (7 of them children), we are really a diverse group with quite high demands and no one doubted when leaving that they want to come back. The friendly and personal welcome from the owners, who explained everything patiently, pleasantly surprised us right at the start. There were other pluses: clean, prepared rooms, beautiful Christmas decorations and lighting, exceptionally equipped kitchen, clean functional sauna (which we used every day), trips around the area, ski lift a few kilometers away... in short, everything was perfect. We highly recommend it for larger groups too. We had a great time relaxing.

Mali sme prenajatú chalupu, aj chatu, pretože nás bolo 18 ( z toho 7 boli deti), sme naozaj rôznorodá skupina s pomerne vysokými nárokmi a nikto pri odchode nezapochyboval, že sa tu chceme vrátiť. Priateľské a osobné privítanie majiteľov, ktorí nám všetko ochotne vysvetlili nás milo prekvapilo hneď na začiatku. Potom nasledovali ďalšie plusy: čisté, pripravené izby, krásne vianočné dekorácie a osvetlenie, výnimočne vybavená kuchyňa, čistá funkčná sauna( ktorú sme využívali každý deň), výlety do okolia, lyžiarsky vlek v blízkosti pár kilometrov...skrátka všetko bolo perfektné. Odporúčame vrelo aj väčším skupinkám. My sme sa výborne zrelaxovali.

The only downside we encountered was the walk-through bedroom in the main cottage, through which you had to pass to get to the attic room, which some guests in the walk-through bedroom were not entirely happy about. It wasn’t apparent in the photos and we were not informed about this beforehand, or we might have overlooked it in the listing. We expected four separate bedrooms.

Jediné mínus, s ktorým sme sa streli, bola priechodná spálňa v hlavnej chate, cez ktorú sa išlo do podkrovnej izby, z čoho ľudia ubytovaní v priechodnej izbe neboli úplne nadšení. Na fotkách to nebolo zjavné a neboli sme o tejto situácii vopred informovaní, alebo sme to v inzeráte prehliadli. Rátali sme tam so 4 samostatnými spálňami.

We spent the weekend there from June 9 to June 11. A co sa týka majiteľa správny chlap a veľmi ústretový týmto sa mu chcel za celú našu partiu veľmi pekne poďakovať VELKE DAKUJEME a uz sa tešíme na ďalšiu návštevu.
