Price, communication with owners, environment of the cottage, beautiful view. Part of the door to our room was frosted glass, and the door also creaked quite a bit. The room was cold, dark, and uninviting. Only one chair at the table, no bedside tables. The bathroom lacked shelves and hooks, so there was nowhere to put anything. I definitely wouldn’t stay there for a longer period.

Beautiful surroundings of the Western Tatras, I recommend Zuberec. Accommodation is great, clean, and easily accessible even for those arriving by bus. The owners are very helpful. Unfortunately, the windows cannot be opened for ventilation, so in summer laundry or towels inside don’t dry well. Just a note, unfortunately, I encountered Czech-speaking guests on the upper floor who behaved as if they owned the guesthouse – late arrivals around midnight can be understood and excused. The next day, repeated late night returns and leaving the lights on downstairs wakes you up perfectly, basically twice per night – the door to the downstairs room has a glass panel and the room is next to it. This group basically claimed the common room upstairs for themselves – early birds like us had to make space for breakfast. Also, they parked their vehicles so that two cars filled the parking lot, which holds about 4-5 cars. So requesting accommodation on the upper floor almost guarantees a pleasant stay – you don’t have to share the common room. It’s just the people, we stayed two nights and just got through it.
