Chata Damiva is located in the recreational area of Hôrka on Zemplínska šírava. It offers seasonal accommodation for up to 7 people. On the ground floor, there is a living room with a television with satellite reception and a sofa bed for two. There is also a fully equipped kitchen with a dining area, microwave, dishwasher, and washing machine. A bathroom with a shower and toilet is a given. In the attic, there are two bedrooms, one with a double bed and the other with three single beds. You'll enjoy a beautiful view of Zemplínska šírava from the balcony with seating. You can savor your morning coffee on the terrace, where there is an option to grill something delicious in the practical outdoor fireplace. The cottage provides free internet WiFi connection. You can park your cars directly in the fenced property.
Nearby the cottage, you will find natural swimming areas, various water sports, and boat trips. Hikers will enjoy walks in the surrounding forests along marked hiking trails. We could hear some cars a bit, but it didn’t bother us or our one-year-old daughter. Swimming was nearby, about 10 minutes on foot. We will definitely return, felt like home.

4,9 Translated: This was the best-equipped cabin we've stayed in so far. Except for the coffee maker, it had everything. The owners are very kind and easy to communicate with. It's a small cabin but clean, cozy, thoughtfully furnished, and has everything you need. It comfortably sleeps 7 people, but for full comfort on a longer stay like ours, it's ideal for up to 6 people or a family with three children. It's close to the main road, but that didn’t bother us; traffic isn’t heavy. Definitely recommend :-D
Original (Slovak): Bola to zatiaľ najlepšie vybavená chata, v ktorej sme boli ubytovaní. Snáď okrem kávovaru tam bolo všetko. Majitelia chaty sú veľmi ochotní, dobre sa s nimi komunikovalo. Je to malá chata, ale je čistá, zariadená útulne so zmyslom pre detail a má všetko, čo potrebujete. Vyspí sa tam v pohode 7 ľudí, ale pre úplné pohodlie a komfort na dlhší pobyt ako sme boli my je ideálna max pre 6 ľudí, alebo rodinu s tromi deťmi. Je síce blízko hlavnej cesty, ale to vôbec nevadilo, nie je tam hustá premávka. Určite odporúčam :-D

In the summer season, you have to expect noise and lights from cars on the main four-lane road in front of the cottage. The owners are very kind. We felt very good and I believe we will visit again soon. The equipment of the chalet was at a very good level. Very satisfied and I gladly recommend this accommodation.
I found none; we felt very good there.
Nearby - across the lake is Zemplínska Šírava. Nearby there is a marina, possible relaxation and boat cruises. For those who like hiking, Viniansky Castle and Senderov church with a wonderful view of Zemplínska Šírava are nearby. But all these options around can be discovered from brochures available at the chalet, so you can plan other experiences besides swimming.
Map in hand. Zemplín is beautiful with many sights: wooden churches, quarry, castles, vineyards, cruises, bird sanctuary... There’s much to do and experience. Enjoy your stay in Zemplín.

Veľmi dobre sme sa cítili a verím, že najblžšie zavítame znova. Vybavenie chaty bolo na veľmi dobrej úrovni. Veľká spokojnosť a rada odporúčam toto ubytovanie.
Žiadne som nenašla, cítili sme sa tam veľmi dobre.
Blízko - cez cetu je Zemplínska šírava. Neďaleko prístav, možný relax, plavba loďou. Kto má rád turistiku tak v blízkosti je Vinianský hrad, kostolík Senderov odkiaľ je nádherný výhľad na Zemplínsku Šíravu. Ale o týchto všetkých možostiach v okolí sa dozviete z prospektov, koré sú na chate, takže si viete naplínovať aj iné zážitky okrem kúpania.
Mapa do ruky. Zemplín je krásny, je veľa toho čo vidieť. Drevené kostolíky, kameňolom, hrady, vinice, plavby., vtáčí raj...Je toho veľa, kde sa dá ísť a zažiť toho veľa. Príjemný pobyt na Zemlíne.

4,6 Translated: The cabin has perfect equipment, it is clean, modern and cozy. A few minutes walk to the water, great seating on the terrace, beautiful view of Šírava, we even regretted not choosing a longer stay :) A bonus is also the very kind and accommodating owners!
A minor drawback is the noisy road near the cabin, personally the noise did not bother us, but the crossing over this road to the water with a stroller was a bit inconvenient. Since we were with a small child, we would have welcomed a stair gate in the cabin, but we managed :)
Original (Slovak): Chata ma perfektne vybavenie, je čistá, moderna a útulná. Pár minút chôdzou k vode, super posedenie na terase, krásny výhľad na Šíravu, aj sme ľutovali že sme nezvolili dlhší pobyt :) Bonusom sú tiež veľmi milí a ústretoví majitelia!
Menším mínusom je hlučná cesta pri chate, osobne nám hluk ale nevadil, skôr nam trochu prekážal prechod cez túto cestu k vode s kočíkom. Kedze sme boli s malým dietatom uvítali by sme zábranu na schody v chate, ale poradili sme si s tým :)

Location right next to the main road, but a few nights are bearable. On the other hand, for me it's better than being somewhere isolated in the middle of the forest :D
Swimming, beaches (the nearest beach is about 500 m from the cottage), we also checked further, a busier beach, stalls and attractions for children near the nearby pension Anima (we went on foot, but I definitely recommend going by car if you have kids, because from the cottage you can only get there on the main road). The food at pension Anima is excellent. We also had a lunch menu at pension Dolina (about 350 m) from the cottage.
Further, we recommend a sightseeing cruise by boat.
On the way from Prievidza to Šírava we made two stops, we saw:
Spiš Castle (2 hours from the cottage)
Košice - square, fountains, St. Elisabeth's Cathedral (one hour from the cottage).

Poloha hneď vedľa hlavnej cesty, ale pár nocí sa to dá v pohode vydržať. Zase na druhej strane pre mňa lepšie ako byť niekde na samote uprostred lesa :D
Kúpanie, pláže (najbližsia je pláž cca 500 m od chaty), boli sme pozrieť aj ďalej, rušnejšia pláž, stánky a atrakcie pre deti, sú pri neďalekom penzióne Anima (vybrali sme sa peši, ale určite odporúčam ísť radšej autom, ak máte deti, pretože z chaty sa tam dá dostať len po hlavnej ceste). V penzióne Anima výborne varia. Tak isto sme boli na obednom menu v penzióne Dolina (cca 350 m) od chaty.
Ďalej by sme odporučili plavbu výletnou loďou.
Na ceste z Prievidze na Šíravu sme si urobili dve prestávky, videli sme:
Spišský hrad (2 hodiny od chaty)
Košice - námestie, fontány, dóm.sv. Alžbety (hodina od chaty).
