We were very impressed by a smaller ski lift the neighbor was preparing for winter operation. We could perfectly imagine watching the kids ski from the terrace with a beer in hand :)
We forgot to bring someone to watch the fire at night, so in the first days, until the cottage heated up, we had to light the fireplace in the morning instead of heading straight to the coffee machine :)
For a nice walk, just run out onto the meadow/field above the cottage, from where there are beautiful views. Even better views will definitely be from the nearby lookout tower (Rozhľadňa Luby), but for people unfamiliar with the region, it’s quite fun to reach the very beautiful Chapel on Vrchriek (there’s a network of paths around it not marked on Google Maps or tourist maps - mapy.cz, so finding the right one can take a while :) ).
Personally, I would recommend visiting Korňa, but this time we didn’t manage to get there.

Veľmi nás zaujal menší lyžiarsky vlek, ktorý sused práve pripravoval na zimnú prevádzku. Vedeli sme si dokonale predstaviť ako sa z terasy s pivkom v ruke pozeráme na deti ako lyžujú :)
Zabudli sme si so sebou vziať niekoho, kto by v noci strážil oheň, aby sme v prvé dni, kým sa chata rozkúrila nemuseli ráno rozkurovať krb, ale mohli sa vrhnúť rovno ku kávovaru :)
Na peknú prechádzku úplne postačuje vybehnúť na lúku/pole nad chatou, odkiaľ sú krásne výhľady. Krajšie budú určite aj z neďalekej rozhľadne (Rozhľadňa Luby), ale pre ľudí neznalých regiónu je celkom zábava aj dostať sa k nedaľekej veľmi peknej Kaplnke na Vrchrieke (vedie okolo nej spleť ciest, ktoré nie sú evidované na google mapách, ani na turistických mapách - mapy.cz a trafiť tú správnu môže chvíľu trvať :) ).
Osobne by som odporučil navštíviť Korňu, no tento krát sa nám tam nepodarilo dostať.

Translated: We made extensive use of the equipped kitchenette and bar. Another plus was separate sanitary facilities for each room. Similarly, we appreciated the pleasant approach of the owners.

Translated: The cottage is exceptionally well equipped, everything is clean everywhere, the kitchen is perfectly equipped - coffee maker, dishwasher, stove with oven, fridge with freezer, large beer tap. Large spaces, in the evening or in case of bad weather you can use the large common room which has a ping pong table, table football (very popular 🙂) and also a children's corner, so the kids did not get bored. Rooms nicely furnished, each room with its own bathroom and toilet, which is a big plus. It is possible to borrow a cauldron and grill. Kids used the large yard by the cottage and the trampoline. The owners are very kind, approachable and willing, so we were very satisfied with everything and definitely recommend it.

Original (Slovak): Chata nadštandardne vybavená, všade všetko čisté, kuchyňa perfektne zariadená - kávovar, umývačka, sporák s rúrou, chladnička s mrazničkou, veľký výčap. Velké priestory, večer alebo v prípade zlého počasia sa dá využiť veľká spoločenská miestnosť, v ktorej sa nachádza pingpongový stôl, stolný futbal( mal veľký úspech 🙂) a aj detský kútik, takže ani deti sa nenudili. Izby pekne zariadené, každá izba s vlastnou kúpeľňou a WC, čo je veľké pozitívum. Je možnosť zapožičania kotlíka aj grilu. Deti využili veľký pozemok pri chate a trampolínu. Majitelia sú veľmi milí, ústretoví a ochotní, takže my sme boli so všetkým veľmi spokojní a určite odporúčame.

Original (Slovak): Útulná koliba v tichom prostredi, vybavená nadštardantne,kuchyňa plne vybavená,umývačka ,kávovar a výčap úplna topka.Majitelia zabezpečili na vyžiadanie aj kofolu, ktorú sme si podla potreby čapovali.Určite sa vrátime,pobyt sme si užili.Ako tu už bolo spomínane 10 hviezdičiek je málo.

Translated: We enjoyed a great winter stay at the cottage. Both children and adults had plenty of fun sledding on the surrounding hills, and after good sledding and hiking, we warmed up in the hot tub 🙂. We very much appreciated the large common areas where you definitely won’t get bored (board games, table football available, and the biggest hit was the ping pong table :-). The cottage was well equipped; the kitchen had everything (dishwasher, coffee maker, toaster, stove with oven, etc...). Another big plus is the bathroom/toilet in every room. We highly recommend staying at the cottage 100% and will definitely be happy to return whether in winter or summer.
Original (Slovak): V chate sme si uzili skvely zimny pobyt. Deti, ale aj dospelí sme sa do sýtosti vysankovali na okolitých kopcoch a po dobrej sankovacke a turistike sme sa vyhriali v kadi 🙂. Velmi pozitivne hodnotime velke spolocenske priestory, kde sa clovek urcite nenudi (k dispozicii spolocenske hry,stolny futbal a najvacsi uspech mal pingpongovy stol:-) chata bola vyborne vybavena, v kuchyni nic nechybalo(umyvacka, kavovar,toastovac,sporak s rurou atd... )A velke pozitivum je aj wc/kupelna v kazdej izbe.Pobyt v chate odporúčame na 100% a určite sa velmi radi vrátime ci už v zime alebo v lete.

Translated: We chose this cottage because we really wanted to relax and rest in a beautiful, large cottage with an atmosphere steeped in history, with a big fireplace. We adults enjoyed the whirlpool, pub 👍, BBQ and the kids had a blast in the playroom where they played darts, foosball, table tennis and had their own disco. Hiking trails run past the cottage and the nature is truly untouched.
Original (Slovak): Vybrali sme si tuto chatu, lebo sme sa chceli naozaj odreagovat, a oddychnut si v krasnej, velkej chate, minulostou nadychanej atmosfere, s veľkým krbom, mi dospeli sme si uzili vyrivku, vycap 👍, grilovacku a deti sa vyblaznili v miestnosti na hranie, kde hrali sipky, kalčero, stolny tenis a robili si diskoteku. Popri chate vedu turisticke chodnicky a priroda je naozaj nedotknutelna.
