Chata Laura Šaštín - Stráže

Are you looking for a peaceful holiday in the forest by the lake? You've come to the right place. Cottage Laura is located in the Gazárka recreation area, near the town of Šaštín – Stráže na Záhorí.

The Gazárka recreation center is popular mainly thanks to its gravel lake, as well as the sports and cultural events that take place here. The shores of the lake are covered by a beautiful sandy beach, and the surrounding pine and oak forests offer opportunities for mushroom picking or walking. In addition to sunbathing and swimming, you can go boating, pedal boating or fishing, play beach volleyball and tennis, while your children have fun on the playgrounds. You can take a trip to Plavecká Cave or Deravá Skala, or you can visit one of the castles and chateaux in the area (such as Plavecká Castle, Ostrý kameň Castle, Holičský Castle, the manor house in Sobotiště, Smolenice Castle, Kuchyňa Castle or Branč). If you get bored of Gazárka, you can also find many other natural reservoirs and lakes here. The local Basilica of the Virgin Mary in Šaštín, which has become a place of pilgrimage, is also worth a visit. There are many cycling routes in the area for cyclists, and in winter there are cross-country ski trails and the possibility of ice skating.

We offer our guests year-round accommodation with a total capacity for 11 people. Cottage Laura is a two-story house suitable for accommodating one group and is rented as an entire building.

The ground floor of the cottage consists of a cozy living room (you can also use it as a bedroom) with a fireplace, dining area, double bed, cable TV and access to a terrace with seating. For those who like to cook, there is a fully equipped kitchen with a gas stove and oven, electric kettle, microwave, fridge with freezer and coffee maker. There is also a bedroom with a double bed and one extra bed on a sofa bed. The ground floor also includes a separate toilet and a bathroom with a shower, toilet, towels and a clothes drying rack.

On the first floor of the cottage there is a common room (you can also use it as a bedroom) with a fireplace, sofa bed, sofa beds, cable TV, radio, board games and access to a balcony with seating and a beautiful view of the forest. This room offers the possibility of up to four extra beds on a couch and armchairs. The common room also includes a fully equipped kitchenette with a bar table and two chairs. Guests have a refrigerator with a freezer, an electric kettle, a gas stove with an oven, a microwave and a coffee maker at their disposal. There is also a bedroom with two single beds.

Outside, during your stay, you can sit on the shared terrace under the shelter, grill something delicious on the grill or cook an excellent kettle goulash on the fireplace. In addition, you have a garden swing and a hammock. Children can play in the sandbox with toys or swing on the swing. In our garden, we have also prepared a volleyball net, badminton and Russian skittles for you. When it rains outside, in addition to board games, you can play table tennis or darts.

If the shower inside is not enough for you, you can also use one shower with solar water heating on our garden terrace. At the same time, our guests have six free parking spaces in a fenced building.
