Pleasant accommodation in Chata Mária in Donovaly offers you comfortable accommodation with a total capacity of 18 beds. Donovaly is located halfway between the towns of Banská Bystrica and Ružomberok. Very good access from the main road, the nearby center of the village near the well-known and very visited ski resort PARK SNOW DONOVALY and other attractions are prerequisites for a perfectly spent vacation in our cottage. The attractive environment of Donovál is visited all year round precisely because of the many attractions and sports opportunities that this location offers. In the summer, you can fully enjoy the adrenaline on the toboggan bobsleigh track, rope center, trampolines or on the climbing wall in Fun Arena Donovaly. The children's town of Donovalkovo or the fairy-tale village of Habakuky will certainly attract and amuse your little ones, where they will also get to know simple national Slovak fairy tales. There is a football pitch, billiards, bowling, fitness centers, golf, massages, solarium, table tennis in the nearby area, and several wellness centers are available for regeneration, or you can go to the Aquapark GINO PARADISE BEŠEŇOVÁ. We cannot fail to mention the nearby mining village Špania Dolina with the Mining Orloj and the Copper Museum, as well as the beautiful Harmanecká Cave. In the nearby forests, there are also opportunities for avid mushroom pickers or picking wild berries, mainly blueberries, blackberries and raspberries. During the winter months, skiers and snowboarders will enjoy themselves on a total of 17 groomed slopes of the Park Snow Donovaly ski resort, which also offers night skiing. Also for lovers of cross-country skiing there are more than 14 km of marked and groomed cross-country trails. Among the winter attractions, there is the opportunity to ride on dog sleds or take a comfortable ride on a horse-drawn sleigh, and for adrenaline sports, riding a snowmobile. Near the Nová Hoľa boarding station, there is also an ice rink available for everyone.

The ground floor of the cottage consists of an entrance glass veranda with seating for 6-7 people, and two 4-bed bedrooms, while the larger one has a double bed and a fireplace, there is also the possibility of creating 1-2 extra beds. There is also a TV with satellite reception and a MINI HIFI tower with a CD player. The fully furnished and equipped kitchen will serve you to prepare your own delicious meals, where you will also find a classic brick stove with an oven, where the prepared meals taste much better, at least in our opinion, as well as a refrigerator with a smaller freezer, a gas stove, a microwave oven, a deep fryer and a kettle. There is also a dining table for dining for 5-6 people. In the back part of the ground floor, you will find a separate toilet and a spacious glass-enclosed shower room with a sink. Next, you pass through a technical room with a boiler to the back entrance with access to a terrace with pallet seating, where you can toast, grill or prepare a tasty goulash or cabbage stew with friends. Of course, there are skewers for roasting, a steel round wok for grilling and a large set of stainless steel basins with a 30-liter kettle. There is also a brick outdoor fireplace for grilling on charcoal near the sitting area. Upstairs, you can relax perfectly in the spacious common room with comfortable seating and dining, where you and your friends will certainly have a good time playing various board games. If necessary, the couch can also serve as an extra bed for two people. The common room also includes a fully equipped and furnished kitchen with an electric oven and a gas stove, a refrigerator with a small freezer, a microwave oven, a coffee maker, an electric kettle and, for greater comfort, a dishwasher. For a comfortable sleep, you will find two 4-bed bedrooms, one of which has a double bed. The floor is completed by another bathroom with a spacious glass-enclosed shower and toilet, where an iron and hair dryer are also available. The entire building is primarily heated by electric convectors, but if necessary, it is possible to heat with a fireplace with vents, a brick stove and smaller stoves with the possibility of cooking in the attic.

As for parking your cars, in the summer there is the possibility of parking 1 car in the garage, 1-2 cars directly in front of the cottage, the remaining cars in the nearby free central municipal parking lot, approx. 250 m away. In winter, due to the maintenance of roads and sidewalks, it is possible to park 1 car in the garage and max. 1 car in front of the garage, the remaining cars in the aforementioned free parking lot.
