Penzión pod Tatrami is located in the village of Ždiar near the ski resort, by the forest and mountains. 2 rooms and 4 apartments can accommodate 33 people (including 10 extra beds) in 10 bedrooms (9 bathrooms, 9x WC). Our accommodation is located right in the center of the village of Ždiar and is suitable for all people looking for peace and quiet. We offer free and safe parking directly in the courtyard of the guesthouse to our guests.
We also offer pleasant accommodation in two- and three-bed rooms and apartments. Each room has its own bathroom, a balcony with a view of the Belianske Tatras, a TV with satellite. In addition to this equipment, each apartment also has its own kitchen with a dining table. The building also has a common room with a seating area and a bar, a fitness center, a children's corner, Wi-Fi throughout the building, and a room for storing skis and bicycles. You can spend warm summer evenings grilling in our gazebo. For children, we offer climbing frames, swings, a sandpit, a trampoline and other attractions.
After returning from hiking and skiing, we can offer you a pleasant snack and a tasty dinner of Slovak specialties.

We were here in summer for the 3rd time (in 2016, 2017, and 2018). We must state that nothing has changed in the guesthouse. FORTUNATELY. The owners are very helpful, pleasant people who made our entire stay enjoyable, were able to advise, and always found time for us. Throughout the stay, there was a friendly atmosphere in the guesthouse and it is no wonder that guests like to return. The Pension under the Tatras was nice, cozy, clean, and still very baby and kids friendly. The courtyard had maintained children's attractions (slide, trampoline, swings, sandbox), and a ball game playground was added. This year, we used the attic apartment, which, like the entire guesthouse, was functionally furnished and equipped down to the last detail. The view from the balcony of the Tatras - BEAUTIFUL.
Homemade food from the lady owner was a poem, a symphony for our taste buds, and homemade bryndza dumplings with bacon were just the cherry on top. The selection of dishes would satisfy even the most demanding gourmet. Our children still remember Aunt Martička, who distributes sweets for finished dinners, and we parents remember the times with the owners over a glass of wine or Jožko's whiskey (a universal remedy for everything).
In the courtyard, there is seating by the garden house with grilling equipment, roasting, swings, and of course perfectly maintained lawns everywhere.
The owners provided us with perfect service and willingness, a nice and quiet environment, real relaxation, and we truly used it 100%.
We must state that not only the guesthouse and its owners have become our favorites but also our SATISFACTION belongs, of course, to the municipality of Ždiar and its residents, the Goral folklore festivals, the Belianske Tatras, Bachledka, and even Rabkoland in Poland.
Thank you for a beautiful holiday and we can only recommend it if you wish to spend moments in a peaceful and beautiful environment. But be careful, if the weather suits you, a week is not enough.

Boli sme tu v lete po 3. raz (v r. 2016, 2017 a 2018). Musíme konštatovať, že v penzióne sa nič nezmenilo. NAŠŤASTIE. Majitelia sú veľmi ochotní, príjemní ľudia, ktorí spríjemnili celý náš pobyt, vedeli poradiť a hlavne vždy si na nás našli čas. Počas celého pobytu v penzióne vládla priateľská atmosféra a vôbec sa nečudujeme, že hostia sa do penziónu radi vracajú. Penzión pod Tatrami bol aj teraz pekný, útulný, udržovaný v čistote a stále maximálne Baby či kids friendly (priateľský k deťom). Vo dvore boli udržiavané detské atrakcie (šmýkačka, trampolína, hojdačky, pieskovisko,) a pribudlo ihrisko na loptové hry. Tento rok sme využívali apartmán v podkroví, ktorý bol tak ako celý penzión do posledného detailu funkčne zariadený a vybavený. Vyhliadka z balkónu na Tatry – NÁDHERA.
Domáca strava pani majiteľky - to bola báseň, symfónia pre naše chuťové poháriky a domáce bryndzové pirohy so slaninkou boli už len čerešničkou na torte. Výber z jedál by uspokojil aj najnáročnejšieho labužníka. Naše deti doteraz spomínajú na tetu Martičku, ktorá za zjedenú večeru rozdáva sladkosti a my rodičia na chvíle s majiteľmi pri vínečku alebo Jožkovom horci (univerzálny liek na všetko).
Vo dvore možnosť posedenia pri záhradnom domčeku s vybavením na grilovanie, opekanie, hojdačky a samozrejme všade perfektne udržiavaný trávnik.
Majitelia nám poskytli dokonalý servis a ochotu, pekné a tiché prostredie, skutočný relax a my sme ho naozaj využili na 100 %.
Musíme konštatovať, že nielen penzión a jeho majiteľov sme si obľúbili. Naša SPOKOJNOSŤ patrí samozrejme aj obci Ždiar a jej obyvateľom, Goralským folklórnym slávnostiam, Belianskym Tatrám, Bachledke, ale aj Rabkolandu v Poľsku.
Ďakujeme za krásnu dovolenku a môžeme len odporúčať, ak si želáte stráviť chvíle v pokojnom a krásnom prostredí. Ale pozor, ak Vám sadne počasie, tak týždeň je málo.

Opäť sme konštatovali, že to bola TOP dovolenka a oplatilo sa na ňu čakať. Absolútne bolo všetko fantastické a skutočnosť, že sme pre nás z pochopiteľných dôvodov nemohli využiť kulinárske špeciality pani domácej, sme nechápali ako katastrofu, už aj preto, že domáci nám zabezpečili stravovanie v inej reštaurácii (s vynikajúcou stravou). Domáci - manželia Pitoňákoví, sú milí a ústretoví ľudia. P. S. ... a už sú to pre nás Martuška a Jožko. P.S. 2 : ... a my sa plánujeme do penziónu vrátiť opäť. Ani pri maximálnej snahe nedokážeme napísať pozitívnejšie hodnotenie, ktoré by vedelo vyjadriť našu spokojnosť s penziónom a jeho majiteľmi. The owners are very helpful, pleasant people who make the whole stay enjoyable. The homemade food by the owner satisfied even the most demanding eaters; the selection of dishes was sufficient and it was a real treat. The sweets as a bonus after dinner were appreciated by our two children. The parents enjoyed the wine and plum brandy before dinner.
The facility can also be called Baby or Kids Friendly. There’s a playroom for children, a playground slide, trampoline, swings, sandbox, children’s chair and cot available, and the owners' approach to children... In our opinion, it was the ideal choice for our family with children.
We really appreciate the willingness, beautiful and quiet environment, true perfect relaxation which we really needed. As a bonus, we valued the good advice and information from the owners.
Our apartment was spacious and cozy, the surroundings of the guesthouse are nicely maintained, perfect services, nothing was missing, simply nothing to complain about.

Original (Slovak): Penzion pod Tatrami ďaleko predčil naše očakávania. Všetko bolo krásne, čisté, útulné prostredie, dobrá cena za ubytovanie a pekný výhľad na Belianske Tatry. Majitelia sú veľmi ochotní, príjemní ľudia, ktorí spríjemnia celý pobyt. Domáca strava pani majiteľky uspokojila aj náročných stravníkov, výber jedál bol postačujúci a bolo to také nebíčko v papuľke. Sladkosti ako bonus po večeri ocenili naše 2 deti. Rodičia ocenili vínečko a slivovičku pred večerou.
Zariadenie môže používať aj označenie Baby či kids friedly (priateľský k deťom). Herňa pre deti (detský kútik), šmýkačka, trampolína, hojdačky, pieskovisko, k dispozícii detská sedačka, detská postieľka, prístup majiteľov k deťom, .... Podľa nás to bola ideálna voľba pre našu rodinu s deťmi.
Veľmi si ceníme ochotu, pekné a tiché prostredie, skutočný dokonalý relax, ktorý sme už potrebovali. Ako bonus veľmi dobre padli dobré rady a informácie od majiteľov.

Translated: A pension owned by a happy family is probably the most important thing to say. The hosts are very kind, the hostess cooks very well, and they even serve beer on tap. You feel like part of the family there. It was my first time there but definitely not the last. It was hard to choose among so many pensions, but I don’t regret my decision at all and recommend it to others. The area around the pension is very pleasant, with views of the Tatras.
It’s hard to find anything negative except the weather could have been better, but of course, that’s not the hosts’ fault.
The village has nice spots to sit in the evening, but we spent most of our time with the hosts. Also, ski slopes nearby are used every day.
I think no need to elaborate on the Tatras, they speak for themselves.
Original (Slovak): Penzion, ktorý vlastníˇšťastná rodina je asi to najdoležitejšie čo treba povedať. Domáci sú veľmi milí, pani domáca veľmi dobre varí a dokonca aj pivo čapujú. Človek sa tam cíti ako by bol súčasťou tej rodiny. Bola som tam síce prvýkrat, ale určite nie naposledy. Bolo tažké vybrať spomedzi tolkých penzionov, ale svoje rozhodnutie vobec neľutujem a doporučujem aj ostatným. Okolie penzionu je veľmi príjemné, s výhľadom na Tatry.
Ťažko sa niečo hľadá, len počasie by mohlo byť lepšie, ale to samozrejme nie je chyba domáciach.
Obec ma príjemné mieste na posedenie večer, ale vačšinu času sme trávili s domácimi. Zároveň v okolí sú lyžiarské svahy, ktoré sme využívali každý deň
Myslím, že sa netreba rozpisovať o Tatrách, tie hovoria same za seba.

We cooked our own food, but there are restaurants across the street, so for those who don’t feel like cooking in the room’s kitchenette, there’s another option. Ždiar is a pretty village with plenty to see if you walk around. The children had fun both indoors and outdoors. We visited the Belianske Cave, which is about 7 km away. It’s really beautiful, and compared to Demänovské Caves, it’s a bit more demanding with steeper steps, but our 6 and 9-year-olds managed it well. So once again, thank you to the owners and I highly recommend it to others.
