We really liked the accommodation and the staff's approach. The surroundings are beautiful, and trips to the marmot area, giant spruces, and the Aquapark in Poprad were nice and interesting. The only downside is the Aquapark is quite expensive for us. For 3 hours, 2 adults and 2 children over 6 (as a family ticket) = 108 euros.

Penzion Sabina is located on the edge of the village Vernár near a ski resort, in the forest and by a stream. 10 rooms and 1 apartment accommodate 36 people (including 6 extra beds) in 18 bedrooms (11 bathrooms, 11 toilets). Several separate independent groups can be accommodated. Small dogs are allowed for a fee. Breakfast, dinner, half-board, gluten-free, and lactose-free meals are offered. There is a sauna and hot tub. Outside there is a gazebo, cauldron, terrace, outdoor fireplace, grill, and outdoor seating. The Sabina family guesthouse is one of the best rated guesthouses on our website, thanks to its high-quality equipment and services, as well as its convenient location in Vernár on the edge of the Slovak Paradise and near the High and Low Tatras. You can enjoy your stay there as part of a family vacation, corporate event, outdoor school or ski trip. It offers accommodation on two floors for 36 guests. The ground floor includes four double rooms and two apartment rooms, while the first floor has four apartment rooms. Each of these accommodation units has its own bathroom with toilet, satellite TV and WiFi internet connection. The first floor also includes a separate apartment equipped with two rooms, a living area, a refrigerator, a radio, a TV and a bathroom.
Tasty and nutritious meals in the form of half board are served in the spacious dining room with a daily bar, and the jacuzzi and sauna allow you to replenish your strength through relaxation. There is a playroom full of toys for children, while parents and groups of friends can have fun in the common room playing billiards, table football and tennis. The Sabina pension also has a playground, trampoline, covered terrace, fireplace with seating and parking in a closed yard.
Your stay in the pension will be made more pleasant by the clean high mountain air, while the location in the area where the Slovak Paradise and Low Tatras national parks meet offers a variety of hiking opportunities. There is no shortage of beautiful views during the hike to Kráľova hola, while magical waterfalls and adrenaline ladders and chains keep you company in the gorges of the Slovak Paradise. During the summer season, you can also go cycling, and in the winter you can ski in the local resort Vernár – Studničky. The village of Vernár is also located near the district town of Poprad, where you can relax in the Aquacity water park, take a tourist train, or experience a unique sightseeing flight starting from the Poprad airport.

Slovak Paradise is beautiful on its own; for families with older children, I definitely recommend the gorges with "ladders", such as Suchá Belá, Piecky, and Veľký Sokol. For families with younger children, Prielom Hornádu and "easier" gorges. WARNING - HIKING BOOTS ARE A MUST, do not underestimate this. Slovak Paradise is mountains, and their charm lies in paths through gorges along the stream and often in the stream itself. Sandals or subsequently soaked ordinary sports shoes are not suitable.

Obec čistá, bez cikánských kolonií; škoda jen, že si zde nelze koupit např ovoce o víkendu
Slovenský ráj je krásný sám o sobě; pro rodiny se staršími dětmi rozhhodně doporučuji tiesňavy se "žebříky", tedy Suchou Bielou, Piecky a Velký Sokol. Pro rodiny s menšími dětmi pak Prielom Hornádu a "jednodušší" tiesňavy. POZOR - POHORKY NUTNÉ, toto nezanedbávat. Slovenský ráj jsou hory a jejich půvab spočívá v cestách tiesňavami proti proudu potoka a většinou i potokem samým. Sandály či následně promočená běžná sportovní obuv není vhodná.
