PUCO - Ľudovít Fusko (author of the idea and the first director of the White Track)
One of the main initiators of the formation of the White Track (BS) of the SNP was Ľudovít Fusko from Kremnica, whom all Kremnica residents knew by the nickname Puco. As an active competitor, in 1971 he took part in the 50th anniversary of the largest, most famous and longest ski marathon in the world – the popular 86-kilometer Vasa Run in Sweden. At that time, he was the only Central Slovak in the starting field of ten thousand. He was ranked 536th. After returning from the north, he became the author of the idea of organizing a similar event in Slovakia. In 1974, when 30 years had passed since the SNP, his dream came true. Puco, who is no longer alive, then became the first director of the 1st year of BS SNP and remained in this position for several more years.
Puco's cottage bears his name because Puco designed and built it with his own hands only with the help of his family and relatives.
