The Farmstead in Kladné combines the authentic atmosphere of a South Bohemian rural estate with the immediate proximity of Český Krumlov, which you can reach in just a few minutes by car or a forest walk. Unlike busy city hotels, we offer complete tranquility, a safe enclosed courtyard with a garden and pond, the presence of domestic animals, and three spacious, fully equipped apartments with their own kitchens. Our biggest unique feature is a craftsman’s ceramic workshop right on the premises, where guests can try their hand at wheel throwing under our guidance and take home a handmade souvenir. Guests return to us mainly for the personal, family-like approach, cleanliness, and the feeling of visiting friends rather than an anonymous guesthouse.
What program would you recommend to your guests in case of rain?
Even in the rain, our guests never get bored – right on the grounds of our Farmstead in the village of Kájov, they can spend a rainy day in the warmth of our craft ceramics workshop, where, under our guidance, they can try working with clay and wheel pottery. If they feel like going out, just a few minutes by car is Český Krumlov with dozens of covered attractions and experiences. We recommend interactive exhibitions and craft workshops at the Kláštery Český Krumlov complex, the unique Museum Fotoatelier Seidel, the Castle Museum at the Český Krumlov State Castle and Chateau, the Egon Schiele Art Centrum gallery, or an underground tour of the Graphite Mine. Those who prefer to relax in warmth by the water can visit the nearby Aquaworld Lipno or cook something tasty in the apartment, borrow board games from us, and enjoy a peaceful day overlooking the rainy garden.

Our accommodation at the Farmstead in the village of Kájov serves as a starting point for hiking, cycling trips, water expeditions, and sightseeing. From the farmstead itself, guests can set off along a forest trail to the historic center of Český Krumlov or head to the nearby national cultural monument, the Pilgrimage Church of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary in Kájov. Nature lovers and those who enjoy views are recommended to hike or take the cable car to Kleť Mountain, which boasts the oldest stone lookout tower in Bohemia and an observatory. Very popular are the walking and cycling routes along the Vltava valley through the medieval Zlatá Koruna Monastery and the mighty ruins of Dívčí Kámen Castle, as well as rafting or canoeing on the Vltava River. For a full-day family trip, we recommend the Lipno Water Reservoir about 20 minutes away, where visitors can swim, enjoy cycling paths by the water, and explore the Lipno Tree Top Walk.

You can reach the accommodation by car without any problems even in bad weather. Parking is provided directly at the accommodation, from where you can reach the apartments through the courtyard, and part of the path is covered, so you don’t have to worry about rain or snow.

The Farmstead is an authentic rural estate surrounded by meadows and nature, which creates a special atmosphere – you’ll be woken up in the morning by the crowing of a rooster, you might encounter typical outdoor rural life and animals in the yard or outside, and sometimes you’ll bring home a blade of grass or an animal hair on your shoes. This is not a sterile city hotel in the wilderness, but a living countryside.
At the same time, we guarantee that the apartments themselves are perfectly clean, prepared, and disinfected upon your arrival.
As owners, we live directly on the premises, so we will meet during your stay. It’s good to know that the nearest larger supermarket is in Český Krumlov, and food delivery options (courier delivery) are very limited in our countryside. However, all apartments are equipped with their own fully equipped kitchens where you can comfortably cook yourself.
At the same time, we guarantee that the apartments themselves are perfectly clean, prepared, and disinfected upon your arrival.
