At the end of the western Tatras' Bobrovecká Valley, known as Poľana, you will find a group of so-called Bobrovecké tarns. This group consists of the large Biely Bobrovecké tarn and smaller, drying up in dry periods, Čierny and Malý Bobrovecké tarn. Around the tarns, there is a marked hiking trail that leads to the saddle of Pálenica and further along the main ridge of the Western Tatras.
