Champions Nitra

In the historic center of the regional city of Nitra stands the statue of Atlas supporting the upper floor of Kluch’s Palace. Locals say it is a monument to the legendary strongman Corgoň - a blacksmith known for his great strength. It is said that when he struck the anvil with his hammer, the whole Upper Town shook. During the Turkish attacks on locals, Corgoň managed to repel them with huge boulders. Legend has it that Corgoň's strength still lies in his big toe, and it only needs to be touched. In the historic center of the regional city of Nitra stands the statue of Atlas supporting the upper floor of Kluch’s Palace.
