Dekrétová Cave Dolný Harmanec

Near the Harmanec Cave is a smaller cave without karst decoration. It is open to the public and named after Slovak forester Jozef Dekret Matejovie, known for improving wood harvesting by introducing saws instead of axes and for contributing to forest preservation and enhancement. The cave features a nearly 50 m long corridor, a spacious hall 30 m long, 18 m wide, and 8 m high. In ancient times, a cave bear inhabited the hall, as evidenced by bones found here.
