Draškovičovský mansion in Čachtice
In the village of Čachtice, famous for its 'blood countess' Elizabeth Báthory, there is also a beautiful Renaissance manor, situated on a hill overlooking the village. It was built in the 17th century at the command of the Croatian nobleman Mikuláš Draškovič. This manor houses a museum that is a branch of the Trenčín Museum. It features an exhibition displaying the history and folk traditions of the village. It also showcases the activities of the cultural association Tatrín, which held its fourth meeting here in 1847.
