Dubnice Castle Dubnica nad Váhom

Dubnice Castle is one of the largest and most valuable historical buildings in Slovakia. The history of the castle dates back to the 17th century when it served as the main residence for the prominent Hungarian noble family Ilešházy. Today, it houses the local Dubnice Museum, which focuses on the history of Dubnica nad Váhom and the Ilešházy family. It features rare historical furniture, a collection of ancient weapons, an exclusive collection of Ilešházy portraits, and many other attractions. The museum also includes a gallery with a permanent exhibition of Dubnica artists and the so-called Dubnice Grotto - an artificial cave with a lookout tower, which is part of the castle park.Dubnice Castle is one of the largest and most valuable historical buildings in Slovakia.
