The history of the house dates back to 1920 when it was built and served as a storage for food for the entire upper end of the village of Žiar. During World War II and the Slovak National Uprising, it served as a shelter and food storage.
In 2022, the house underwent a complete renovation and modernization. The goal of the renovation was to brighten the house, modernize heating, and furnish the rooms to provide guests with maximum comfort with modern technological features, while preserving as many original elements as possible with respect for past generations. The house has its originality, a unique atmosphere, guests feel comfortable and cozy here, as evidenced by beautiful reviews on international booking platforms. Well-behaved and socialized pets are also welcome.

Primarily hiking, as the cabin is located in a beautiful quiet - uncrowded environment at the foot of the Western Tatras, hiking to the nearest Žiarska hut takes about 1.5 hours, beautiful ridge walks to Baranec, Tri kopy, Plačlivé, Ostrý Roháč, Smutné or Žiarske saddle.

On the property, we have a large children's playground with a trampoline, climbing wall, slide, sandbox, swing... mini football goals, balls, ping pong table, darts, and table football are available.
