Castle Čeklís Bernolákovo

The castle was probably built in the 13th century. It was gifted by King Andrew II to the royal cellar master. Later, it came under the control of Matúš Čák Trenčiansky. After his death, King Charles Robert restored it to the original owner's family. Since 1393, it has been owned by Karol Krbavský. The castle was destroyed during the Hussite raids. Nearby is the Church of St. Stephen. Currently, only ruins of the castle remain. The castle was probably built in the 13th century. It was gifted by King Andrew II to the royal cellar master.
