Castle Skároš
Skároš Castle was of a promontory character. It probably originated in the 14th century when such types of castles were preferred. Among the owners was Pavol from Skároš. Later, it was taken over by the French Druget family. It had a residential function, so it might not have resisted military invasions. Its decline is estimated in the 15th century. The castle traditionally had a barbican, donjon, courtyard with a palace, and a defensive tower. During World War II, the castle ruins served as a shelter.Read on
