The four-winged classicist manor was built in the first half of the 17th century by the Hungarian palatine Paul IV. Pálffy. The Pálffy family used this residence for almost 300 years. After the last noble owners left for Austria in 1918, the manor was handed over to the Franciscans. Between 1944 and 1945, the manor was occupied by the Nazis, who imprisoned and tortured participants of the Slovak National Uprising here. Today, the manor is managed by the town of Malacky, and its interiors are open to the public. Visitors can view the furnished Pálffy room with luxurious historical noble furniture or an exhibition of photographs from the building's reconstruction. Art exhibitions are regularly held here.
