The pleasant Pension Tajch is part of the recreational area of the same name near the town of Nová Baňa, in the district of Žarnovica. It offers 23 beds and 8 extra beds divided between six rooms and four studios. Each of the accommodation units is connected to the bathroom and has both a satellite TV and WiFi internet connection. The four rooms have a private balcony, while the studios have terraces with beautiful views and kitchenettes. They are equipped with a fridge, double hob and microwave. Guests can dine at the on-site restaurant and bar, while billiards and table football are available for entertainment. Not only children will enjoy the presence of the swimming pool, and tennis courts or a beach volleyball court are suitable for active movement. Pension Tajch is nestled on the shores of Lake Tajch, where you can not only swim but also boat, while boats can lend you in the pension, similar to mountain bikes, which you walk along the bike path around the lake or head for longer routes in the area. In the Tajch recreation area, you can also spend your free time fishing, rollerblading, beach volleyball or tennis. The summer season is associated with a number of attractive events, such as the folk and country music festival or the folk festival of heligonkers. The surrounding forests directly call for mushrooms and you should not miss a tasting of fresh cheese at a nearby cheese factory. You can also go hiking in the Pohronský Inovec environment or discovering the mining past of Nova Bana. You won't be bored in winter either, as you can skate on a frozen body of water or head to the nearby ski resorts, such as Ski Blanc Ostrý Grúň, Ski Drozdovo and Ski Hubačov.
