Piaristický monastery and church - Nitra
In 1671, the Piarists, known as the Order of the Pious Schools, began building their monastery in Nitra. The Piarist monastery was built in stages in connection with the construction of the Baroque Church of St. Ladislaus. A highlight of the church's interior is the large altar from 1750, in addition, there are six pairs of side altars. After 1940, they were supplemented with additional fresco decorations depicting the history of the city of Nitra, created by artist Edmund Massani.
