The most important thing in life is to do what makes you happy. And when you're wondering how to do it, come and be inspired by people who live like this every day. Perhaps also to me, Eszter and my husband Zoli, in the southeast of Slovakia to Medzibodrožia.

I welcome you to my beloved piece of the world surrounded by vineyards and wine cellars. In a place where the rhythm of life is determined by nature - bees, wine and our more than 100-year-old yeast. I will share with you our sweet piece of the world. One for whom I gave up a good job and life in the capital. She returned home, to her native village and finally ended up with the bees. And that love is so great that even my allergy does not deter me from it. Instead, with joint efforts (we humans and our bees) we are developing a small family business - with goodies from bees, with scented candles made of beeswax, or useful parts from the skillful hands of local creators.

Choose to explore the surroundings or straight across the border
Finally, a place without any disturbing elements. Have a relaxing drink, sit on the terrace, wander through nature or finally finish reading a book you've been reading for more than a year. During your stay, you will be in the protected landscape area of Latorica and in the protected bird area of Medzibodrožie. So you can see a few protected species here. And even if you are not an ornithologist, don't miss the Water Adventure Trail in the village of Oborín (32 km) with a wooden footbridge and a lookout point for bird watching, and the Municipal House of Tradition in Mali Kamenec is definitely worth a visit. It would be a sin to bypass the observation tower at nearby Tokaji (16.2 km), there are beautiful sunsets from there.

If you already know this area, you still have a lot of options. Since the accommodation is located close to the Hungarian border, you can easily go for thermal springs or Hungarian cuisine. You can experience water fun, for example, in Kisvárd at Aquacinema (30 km), where you can find adventure pools open even in winter. Sárospatak with the thermal swimming pool Végardó (25 km) is also known. The Zemplín adventure park is only 15 km away by car. In it you can enjoy a ride on the longest bobsleigh track in Hungary (2275 meters), you can ride a chairlift, try a climbing wall or a zipline, and you can also go skiing here during the winter.

Bathing is possible directly on the terrace of the cottage thanks to the bathtub.
