Finnish sauna and quality accommodation standard in the forest under the Tatras! Veľká chata Tatra is located in the recreation area Štrba in the forest, in the mountains and in a cottage settlement. Cottage sleeps 20 people in 8 bedrooms (9 bathrooms, 10x WC). Accommodation is available only for you. Staying with a small dog is allowed for a fee. We offer breakfast. This rental is equipped with sauna. Outside you will find hearth, outdoor seating, terrace, kettle and garden swing. The accommodation is suitable for families with children: baby cot is available. Parking is for 10 cars by the object.
You can ski in the ski center Ski resort Snowpark Lučivná (10,5 km), the nearest swimming is Aquacity Poprad (24,3 km). Nearby you can see the cave Važecká Cave (8,5 km) or Castle Liptovsky Hradok (27,8 km).

Object description
Enjoy a fantastic stay in the picturesque Tatra forests, where you can enjoy the peace of nature, active relaxation and high-quality services. The Great Tatra Cottage has four double and four triple rooms, each with a private bathroom with a shower. You can also use the kitchen, dining room with fireplace, common room, Finnish sauna, table tennis and terrace with seating. The kitchen is equipped with a fridge with freezer, electric kettle, stove and pantry. Slippers, blankets and towels are available and, if necessary, a cot. The cottage is surrounded by a large meadow, which is home to two fireplaces and a swing. Heating is gas and solid fuel, electricity, drinking water and 10 parking spaces are available at the property.
The Tatra Large Cottage is located in the cottage settlement of Tatranská Štrba – Lieskovec near the village of Štrba and since its owners have the status of mountain guides and tourist guides, they will gladly advise you on planning your hikes in the Tatras or even organize a sightseeing trip or animal watching. You can buy tickets for the cogwheel train, the Tatra tram or a map of the High Tatras directly at the cottage. It depends only on your preference whether you prefer wandering around Štrbské pleso, going to Solisko, heading to Popradské pleso, or making Skok waterfall your destination. You will also experience perfect skiing at the lake and active cyclists will also come to their senses. If, on the contrary, you would like to relax, just visit the thermal swimming pool in Vrbov or the Aquacity Poprad aquapark.
We do not accept reverberations, echoes and similar high school events and therefore this type of stay is not possible with us. Elementary and secondary school students are welcome with us only with the participation of at least 2 responsible teachers.
Due to the current epidemiological measures of COVID, disinfectants are available at the entrance to the facilities. Guests who are not vaccinated must have a negative test in accordance with the current epidemiological situation. It is the responsibility of guests to maintain social distancing and wear a face covering. Rooms are ventilated and disinfected between guest stays. Common areas, including the kitchen, are also disinfected.

You can also stay in our cottages and use ping-pong, Finnish sauna or read one of the books in our library in front of the fireplace.
What activities do you recommend to your guests around the cottage? Walks, mushroom picking, cycling routes, cross-country skiing, visiting a defunct medieval settlement, roasting/grilling, relaxing in a hammock or on a picnic blanket (we will provide).
