Manor Topolčianky Topoľčianky

The first mention of Topoľčianky dates back to 1293 when a well-known family, the Topoľčianskys, lived here for about 300 years. The fortress had an important trade and defensive position. In the 16th century, despite a well-built defensive fortress, the Turks conquered the castle. In the 17th century, a Renaissance-classical manor was built on its site, as visitors can see today. The manor served many noble families, the last of which was the Habsburgs. After the establishment of the First Czechoslovak Republic, it also became the residence of the president. The exhibition in the manor focuses on period furniture, porcelain, paintings, and historic weapons. The manor is a national cultural monument. The first mention of Topoľčianky dates back to 1293 when a well-known family, the Topoľčianskys, lived here for about 300 years.
