Mansion in Stupava
On the edge of the park in the historic center of Stupava is a mansion built on the site of an old water castle. Like many other mansions, it has been reconstructed many times, always according to the latest architectural style. The most significant reconstruction was that of the Károly family, after which the mansion took on a romantic style with Rococo elements. This romantic appearance was destroyed by a fire in the mid-20th century and by the subsequent reconstruction of the mansion. Today, the building of the mansion houses a retirement home and is not accessible to the public. The public can enjoy the accessible park with a pond and a horse chestnut alley. From the park, a hiking trail begins into the Carpathians and to the Pajštún Castle.Read on
