In the Spiš-Podhradie area, you will find Spiš Jerusalem, a model landscape that resembles the actual Jerusalem in its structure. The model landscape consists of several sacred monuments symbolizing historical sites linked to the final moments of the life of Jesus Christ. These historical buildings were constructed between 1666 and 1675 by Jesuit monks. They were built because, due to wars with the Turks, people were unable to reach the Holy Land. Today, the core of Spiš Jerusalem consists of three chapels located between Spišská Kapitula and Sivá brada. The symbolic landscape also includes other structures: St. Martin's Cathedral in Spišská Kapitula (the site of the Last Supper), the Chapel of St. Rozalia (Herod's Palace), the Chapel of St. Francis Xavier (the residence of Pontius Pilate), and the Chapel of the Holy Cross on Sivá brada (Golgotha). The model landscape also features seven roadside chapels representing the walls of Jerusalem. The builders preserved the distances between the individual structures as they are in Jerusalem, on a 1:1 scale. It is assumed that other structures were also meant to be part of Spiš Jerusalem. In the past, there was an equivalent of the Garden of Gethsemane in the neighboring village of Jablonov.
