The ruins of a lowland water castle from 1432 were built for defense against Turkish raids. The castle was renovated in the Renaissance style between 1580 and 1585. During this reconstruction, the fortifications were strengthened with artillery bastions, and an observation post was placed in the tower. Today, we cannot estimate what the castle originally looked like, as it was significantly damaged during the estates' uprisings. It was repaired in the 18th century and later rebuilt into a residential manor. To this day, the southeastern bastion with a terrace has been preserved, and in place of the southern wing, a stone wall with a large gate was constructed.
