Huta Etelka Nižná Slaná
In the settlement of Nižnoslanská Baňa in the village of Nižná Slaná, there is a technical monument - the Etelka smelting furnace. It was established in 1868 by the iron businessman Emanuel I. Andrássy, who was also known as the Iron Count. He was a major figure in the development of mining and metallurgy in Gemer. The furnace was named after his mother and operated until 1908. Unfortunately, today it is in ruins, and we can only hope that this monument can be saved before it collapses.
