The history of the Bohunice Castle dates back to the 17th century, when it belonged to the Medňanský family. It later belonged to Žigmund Rizner, the brother of the Slovak writer Ľudmila Riznerová - Podjavorinská, who wrote some of her famous works here. Today, the castle houses the Museum of the Region of the White Carpathians. It features an ethnographic exhibition, a display dedicated to Ľudmila Podjavorinská, and an exhibition of glass from the glassworks in Lednické Rovne.
