Triangular lake Ždiar

In the Valley of Biele plies in the High Tatras, you will find the Trihorn lake. This lake is located at an altitude of 1600 m and is one of the smaller Tatras lakes, measuring 85 x 70 m and 1.2 m deep. The lake contains rare aquatic plants but is increasingly being overgrown by peat. Dwarf pines grow along the shores of the lake. Around the lake, there is a marked hiking trail, the Tatra Magistrale. Just 200 m north of the lake is Veľké Biele pleso. You can reach the Trihorn lake from Tatranská Lomnica, Tatranské Matliare, or Starý Smokovec. In the Valley of Biele plies in the High Tatras, you will find the Trihorn lake.
