It extends into the Muránska Planina National Park, thus falling under its management, and covers an area of over 260 hectares. Due to the altitude at which Fabova hoľa is situated, it is characterized by spruce vegetation and comprises spruce forests with a mixture of rowan trees. Rare forest communities, both fauna and flora, can be found here, which is why this area is considered a protected forest.Fabova hoľa can undoubtedly be considered a precious natural reserve.
