We recommend families with children enhance their relaxation at the Tatralandia water park by visiting the Kontakt Zoo near Liptovský Mikuláš. The year-round open area allows you to see various animal species up close, and many of them can also be pet, fed, or photographed with. You can look forward to lions, tigers, pumas, parrots, llamas, miniature donkeys, nutrias, squirrels, bears, lynxes, birds of prey, monkeys, kangaroos, and many other animals. The tour of Kontakt Zoo is led by an experienced caretaker, school trips are welcome, and younger children can enjoy pony rides. From May to September, it is also worth taking advantage of the discounted entry to three family attractions, which include not only Kontakt Zoo but also Tatrapolis and the Butterfly Garden. Tatrapolis is a unique amusement park featuring miniature versions of landmarks from around the world, such as the Eiffel Tower in Paris and the Sydney Opera House. It also showcases the work of blacksmiths through the Iron Alley with a blacksmith workshop, and there are attractions for children, a souvenir shop Darčekovo, and delicious treats at the Hostinec u kováča. The Butterfly Garden, on the other hand, is located during the summer season in the Liptov arena, where you can see hundreds of beautiful exotic butterflies, including the royal owl butterfly, considered the largest among day-flying butterflies. We recommend families with children enhance their relaxation at the Tatralandia water park by visiting the Kontakt Zoo near Liptovský Mikuláš.
