Large Choc Valaská Dubová
One of the most beautiful mountains in Slovakia, Veľký Choč, was often praised by the well-known and respected poet Pavol Országh Hviezdoslav, whose hometown is Vyšný Kubín located directly below Choč. It is well visible from Štrba and throughout the lower Orava region. The summit of Veľký Choč, at 1611 m above sea level, is regularly sought after by tourists. There are four hiking trails to the summit, with the routes from Lúčky or Vyšný Kubín considered the most beautiful.
