The water mills are located in the upper part of Kvačianska Valley, known as Oblazy, at the confluence of Hutianka and Borovianka rivers. They are integrated into the original natural environment. Both water mills were built in the first half of the 19th century. In 1936, one of them was converted into a sawmill. The Upper Mill, known as the 'Gejdoš' Mill, was built by the village of Sviniarky, and from 1920, Mr. and Mrs. Gejdoš lived there until their deaths. The Upper Mill features three spaces and is built on a stone base. The Lower Mill, known as the 'Brunčiak' Mill, was built by the village of Veľké Borové.
